What about lady bugs?
Asian ladybugs are commonly found invading homes in late summer or early fall. Some years are more favorable to lady bug developement than other years. The ladybugs are attracted to light sided houses or buildings, and may enter the building in great numbers. Ladybugs will NOT breed inside homes, and generally exit in early spring. In heated homes ladybugs become a nuisance when the temperatures keep the beetles from becoming quietessent. Lady bug invasion is more common in sided homes, and around agricultural areas where insect pests that ladybug larvae feed on are common. Despite written reports, ladybugs do bite, and will emit a foul smelling compound from their legs when disturbed. Vacuuming may release this odor.
